GOLF COURSES

  • South Shore Harbour - Private 27 hole championship course located within the master planned South Shore Harbour community.
  • Beacon Lakes - 18 hole, 6700 yard course located 1.5 miles east of IH45 on FM646. Challenging public course, fully lighted for nighttime play.
  • Magnolia Creek Golf Links - A Scottish Links type public course, with 27 holes, located near the intersection of Bay Area Blvd. and FM518
Main Street Historic District: Antique and Gift Shops
Many of the shops are located in historical buildings. Main Street is also lined with huge Live Oak trees forming a canopy of greenery making walking and shopping more enjoyable.
The Schoolhouse Museum (West Bay Common School Children's Museum)
Located in the Historic District of League City, the Museum contains exhibits from turn-of-the-century. Tour the One Room Schoolhouse or enjoy the Barn and Ice House Museum containing tools and artifacts from daily life during the 1890s and early 1900s.

Butler Longhorn Museum and Heritage Park
The Butler Longhorn Museum and Historical Park, located at the old Walter Hall estate is slated to open Spring 2004 and the park portion will open Spring 2005. The museum will focus on the founding families of League City, such as the Butlers who helped to establish ranching in the area, as well as the beautiful oak trees which line the historic district of Main Street.

A large grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife has just been received to develop trails, wetlands, interpretive/educational areas, butterfly garden, herb gardens, two fishing piers, bird watching platform, picnic tables and play areas. The local Gharardi family has also donated their family home which will be placed on the property and become part of the exhibits.

Big League Dreams Sports Park
If you ever dreamed of playing in the big leagues, now is your chance! Big League Dreams Sports Park, a world-class amateur recreational sports facilities opened in League City in May 2005.
