The Schoolhouse
Museum (West Bay Common School Children's
Museum) Located in the Historic District of League City,
the Museum contains exhibits from turn-of-the-century. Tour
the One Room Schoolhouse or enjoy the Barn and Ice House
Museum containing tools and artifacts from daily life during

Butler Longhorn Museum and Heritage
Park The Butler Longhorn Museum and Historical
Park, located at the old Walter Hall estate is slated to open
Spring 2004 and the park portion will open Spring 2005. The
museum will focus on the founding families of League City,
such as the Butlers who helped to establish ranching in the
area, as well as the beautiful oak trees which line the
historic district of Main Street.
A large grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife has just
been received to develop trails, wetlands,
interpretive/educational areas, butterfly garden, herb
gardens, two fishing piers, bird watching platform, picnic
tables and play areas. The local Gharardi family has also
donated their family home which will be placed on the property

Big League
Dreams Sports Park If you ever dreamed of
playing in the big leagues, now is your chance! Big League
Dreams Sports Park, a world-class amateur recreational sports
facilities opened in League City in May 2005. Park features
include six replica baseball/softball fields designed as
